Security services of the Marrakech Police Prefecture arrested three individuals aged between 31 and 37 on the morning of Tuesday, December 23, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the operation was carried out in one of the city’s neighborhoods, where the suspects were apprehended in the act of trafficking, before being subjected to the legally required search procedures.
The search resulted in the seizure of 1,155 tablets of “Rivotril”, 350 grams of cocaine, as well as an electronic scale and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illegal activity, according to the same official sources.
The suspects were placed in police custody as part of the ongoing judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, with the aim of determining the circumstances of the case and uncovering any potential criminal links, local security sources indicated.
