The city of Fnideq recorded a tragic traffic accident this Saturday morning, December 6, 2025, that claimed the lives of four people and injured eight others with varying degrees of severity, according to preliminary reports announced by local authorities in the M’diq-Fnideq prefecture.
Accident Details
The accident occurred around 8:30 AM following a violent collision between a large truck loaded with construction materials and two van-type vehicles consisting of two floors:
- The first containing a café and residential apartments.
- The second containing commercial shops and an unclassified hotel.
The force of the impact caused a massive fire to break out, which increased the danger of the situation and the difficulty of rescue operations.
Immediate Response by Authorities
Upon notification, the following rushed to the scene:
- Local and security authorities
- Civil protection services
- Emergency medical services
Specialized teams managed to extinguish the fire and immediately transported the injured to Hassan II Hospital in Fnideq, where they are receiving necessary treatment. Search operations are still ongoing to ensure there are no other victims trapped under the rubble or inside the damaged vehicles.

- Damage to 7 cars that were parked on the side of the road.
