Rabat – December 1, 2025
The Ministry of Interior called today, Monday, on all citizens not registered on the general electoral lists, who meet the legal requirements, to submit their registration requests before the end of this year, in preparation for the upcoming 2026 elections.
A ministry statement explained that the process of submitting registration requests as part of the annual review of general electoral lists for 2026 is currently open and will definitively end on December 31, 2025.
Who Should Register?
- Every citizen who has reached 18 full years of age or will reach it on March 31, 2026
- Every person who has not previously registered on any electoral list
How to Register or Transfer Registration
Applications can be submitted in one of two ways:
- At local administrative authorities (Qiyada or administrative annex) responsible for the place of actual residence
- Remotely through the official portal: www.listeselectorales.ma
Updating Address Within the Same Community or District
If a previously registered citizen has moved to a new address within the same community or district, they must notify the new local administrative authority before December 31, 2025, to update their information and avoid being removed from the list.
Verifying Personal Information
Every citizen can verify their registration and information through two free methods:
- Through the electronic portal www.listeselectorales.ma
- By sending a text message (SMS) to the toll-free number 2727 containing the national identity card number
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that this process aims to ensure broad and transparent participation in the upcoming electoral deadlines, calling on all citizens to take advantage of the remaining deadline (only one month) to register or update their information so they can exercise their constitutional right to vote in 2026.
