Public Prosecutor’s Office Launches New Digital Service to Instantly Notify Citizens of Their Complaint Status via Text Messages

Rabat – November 20, 2025

The Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office officially launched today, Wednesday, an innovative digital service aimed at strengthening direct and transparent communication between public prosecutor’s offices at various courts across the Kingdom and citizens, through sending instant notifications via short text messages (SMS) to their mobile phones.

A statement from the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office explained that this new service will enable citizens who file complaints or grievances with the Public Prosecutor’s Office to receive instant notifications of every action taken regarding their cases, whether it be complaint registration, opening of an investigation, case closure, referral to court, or any other decision, sent to the number they provide when filing the complaint.

This initiative comes within the framework of implementing the Strategic Plan of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (2023-2026), which places strengthening communication with citizens and facilitating access to information at the core of its priorities, with the aim of consolidating the principles of transparency, proximity, and efficiency in processing judicial cases.

The Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that this step represents a qualitative leap in modernizing judicial administration, as it will reduce unnecessary citizen travel to courts and strengthen trust in public services by enabling them to track the progress of their complaints moment by moment with ease.

It should be noted that this service will be gradually rolled out to all public prosecutor’s offices across the Kingdom in the coming weeks, to cover all types of complaints and grievances submitted either in person or electronically through existing digital platforms.
