Weather Forecast for Monday: Thunderstorms and Snowfall in Several Regions of Morocco

Rabat – The General Directorate of Meteorology issued its weather forecast for Monday, indicating rainfall or local thundershowers in the regions of Tangier, Saiss, the High Atlas, the northern plains, and the northern part of the Eastern region. The sky will be partly cloudy accompanied by scattered rains in the Atlas, the Mediterranean coast, and the central interior plains, with snowfall on the peaks of the High Atlas and northern Middle Atlas.

Strong Wind Gusts and Dust Scatter

Somewhat strong local wind gusts are expected in the Middle Atlas, the Eastern region, and the northern Saharan provinces, accompanied by local dust scatter. Minimum temperatures will experience a notable decrease, ranging between 02 and 06 degrees Celsius in the Atlas highlands, between 07 and 11 degrees in the Rif, the eastern high plateaus, the southeast, and the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus. In the southern Saharan provinces, they will be between 18 and 22 degrees, and between 12 and 17 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom.

Daytime temperatures will generally decrease.

Sea Conditions

The sea will be calm to slightly choppy on the Mediterranean coast, slightly choppy to rough in the Strait, rough to very rough north of Tan-Tan, and slightly choppy to rough south of Tan-Tan.

Relevant authorities and citizens are advised to take necessary precautions, especially in mountainous and coastal areas, and to follow daily updates from the General Directorate of Meteorology.
