Khenifra: Royal Gendarmerie Seizes More Than 58 Kilograms of Cannabis and Quantities of Cocaine and Kif

Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie in Khenifra successfully intercepted a large drug shipment on Thursday morning at the entrance to Kaf Nsour, after stopping a suspicious vehicle.

Seizure Details: 58 kg of Chira and Other Quantities

Local sources reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of:

  • More than 58 kilograms of cannabis resin (chira).
  • 48 grams of cocaine.
  • About 650 grams of kif in plant form.

These quantities were found inside the stopped vehicle. Upon the arrival of Gendarmerie forces, the driver and his alleged accomplices fled, leaving the vehicle and its contents behind.

Ongoing Investigations Under Public Prosecutor’s Supervision

Investigations are currently underway under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, aimed at:

  • Identifying the fugitives.
  • Uncovering all circumstances of the case.
  • Dismantling any potential criminal network involved.

This operation comes within the framework of the Royal Gendarmerie’s strategy in Khenifra to combat organized crime and drug trafficking, with particular focus on hard-to-reach mountainous areas, which are often exploited by criminal networks.
