✨ Fez Hosts the 13th International Conference on the History of Medicine: “Nutrition and Health – Science and Heritage”

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the opening session of the 13th International Conference on the History of Medicine will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry in Fez, starting at 3:30 p.m.

This prestigious scientific event, held under the theme “Nutrition and Health: Science and Heritage,” is organized by the Saleh Hamza Sharif Chair for Research on Coronary Heart Disease, in partnership with Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez and several national and international institutions.

The conference aims to shed light on the enduring relationship between nutrition and health from scientific, historical, and cultural perspectives, while highlighting the contributions of various civilizations to the advancement of medical knowledge related to food and healing.

The event brings together academics and researchers from Morocco and abroad, with Spain as the guest of honor, reflecting the strong scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Running from October 29 to 31, 2025, the conference will feature lectures, scientific workshops, and exhibitions dedicated to traditional medicine and food heritage, along with parallel activities designed to raise awareness of the importance of medical history as a source of inspiration for modern scientific research.
