“Gen Z” Movement Announces Suspension of Protests on King’s Parliamentary Speech Day

The “Gen Z” movement announced the suspension of all planned protests on Friday, October 10, coinciding with King Mohammed VI’s speech inaugurating the autumn session of parliament.

In a statement, the movement explained that this decision was made “out of respect for His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, and in appreciation of the deep symbolism of his high speech during the opening of the parliamentary session.”

The movement emphasized that the decision stems from “national responsibility and a commitment to the nation’s fundamentals and constitutional institutions,” stressing their strong belief that “peaceful and constructive dialogue is the best way to achieve legitimate demands and reinforce the values of justice and dignity in our beloved country.”

The protest suspension reflects the movement’s recognition of the national significance of the King’s speech and shows their commitment to working within the framework of dialogue and national responsibility.
