The Fez-Meknes Regional Council held its regular session for October on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the council’s headquarters. The session was chaired by Mr. Abdelwahed El Ansari, President of the Regional Council, in the presence of the Wali of Fez-Meknes Region and Governor of Fez Province, along with the council members.
During this session, several draft agreements were studied and approved, aiming to complete the implementation of the projects listed in the development program, including the program for the rehabilitation and enhancement of the historic cities of Fez and Meknes. Approval was also given to agreements related to amending financial appropriations or the partners involved in some projects, as well as agreements supporting some social institutions.
The council focused on agreements supporting vocational training for labor market integration, enhancing the quality of early childhood education, improving health services, ensuring the sustainability of water resources, and supplying potable water. Other projects aimed to stimulate regional investment, develop transportation infrastructure, and preserve the region’s cultural heritage.
The session concluded with the council members approving the regional budget draft for the fiscal year 2026, alongside the approval of establishing a regional development company tasked with preparing, managing, and marketing the industrial and commercial zones in the Fez-Meknes region.
