Casablanca, Morocco – The Court of First Instance in Casablanca issued prison and financial fine sentences today, Wednesday, against defendants belonging to the Hicham Jirando criminal network, in a case that has been followed with great public interest.
The court sentenced the defendant Mohammed Al-Rifali to five years in prison and a fine of 50,000 dirhams, while Abdellatif Burtoul was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 5,000 dirhams.
These sentences are part of a series of ongoing trials in the Jirando network case, in which a number of defendants are being prosecuted on various criminal charges. The public is awaiting developments in the case, which has revealed its extensions into different circles, anticipating the outcomes of the remaining trial chapters.
