Rabat, Morocco – Several Moroccan universities have announced that they are accepting “reinstatement” applications, also known as “Isti’taf” (appeal) requests, for students who have dropped out of their studies in previous years. This initiative, in preparation for the 2025/2026 academic year, offers a second chance for students to resume their academic journey, provided they meet the specified conditions and there are available spots.
Application Conditions and Required Documents
Any student who has dropped out of university can submit a re-enrollment request, regardless of the number of years that have passed since their high school diploma (Baccalaureate). The primary condition for the request to be accepted is the availability of pedagogical seats in the specialization the student wishes to rejoin.
The list of necessary documents for the Isti’taf request includes:
- A written request: Explaining the reasons for dropping out.
- A copy of the Baccalaureate certificate: Along with its grade transcript.
- Transcripts: For all previous university years the student completed.
- Enrollment certificate or school certificate: For the last academic year attended.
- Proof of the reason for dropping out: Such as a medical certificate, work certificate, or a document proving compelling family circumstances.

The submission of Isti’taf requests is done exclusively through each university’s official digital platforms. Every academic institution announces its own schedule and specific deadlines for applications on its official website. It is important to note that these deadlines vary from one university to another, requiring students who wish to return to their studies to follow the announcements issued by the relevant faculty or university.
