The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad announced on Monday that King Mohammed VI, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has ordered the dispatch of additional humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip. This initiative reflects Morocco’s steadfast support and tangible solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the critical humanitarian conditions faced by the region.
According to an official statement from the ministry, the new shipment includes approximately 100 tons of essential foodstuffs and medicines, with special attention given to the needs of vulnerable groups, particularly children and infants.
The source explained that the King insisted on delivering this aid by air to ensure its urgent and direct arrival to the beneficiaries, avoiding any logistical complications that could delay rapid response to field needs.
This initiative comes within the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis experienced by the Gaza Strip and adds to a similar aid effort launched by the Moroccan monarch at the end of July, which included around 180 tons of food, infant formula, medicines, and medical equipment.
This concrete field support reflects Morocco’s commitment, both by the King and institutions, to a practical approach in supporting the Palestinian cause, especially its humanitarian dimension, thereby strengthening the resilience of civilians in the face of daily challenges.
