In 48 hours: From crime to prison… How did the gendarmerie uncover the plan of the ‘highwaymen’ in Misour?

Fes, Morocco – The Bourkayez local prison in Fes received two individuals yesterday morning, Tuesday, who are accused of blocking a road with stones and using a stolen motorized vehicle.

This follows a decision by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Fes Court of Appeal to deny bail, opting instead to prosecute them in detention. The two suspects were referred to the public prosecutor by Royal Gendarmerie officers from “Outat El Haj,” which is part of the Missour gendarmerie detachment, after their period of custody concluded.

The arrest took place last Sunday night on the outskirts of the “Gharsala” hamlet, near the “Oued Sidi Issa Ben Aammar” bridge on National Road No. 15. According to reports, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the charges against them and admitted to possessing the stolen motorcycle that was found in their possession.
