His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, Commander of the Faithful, presided this Thursday afternoon over the allegiance ceremony held at Al-Machwar Square at the Royal Palace in the city of Tetouan, commemorating the 26th anniversary of His Majesty’s enthronement to the throne of his illustrious ancestors. His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed.
The ceremony began with the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, along with the governors and prefects of the Kingdom’s regions, provinces, and prefectures, as well as senior officials from the central administration of the Ministry of Interior, pledging their allegiance to His Majesty the Commander of the Faithful, praying for his protection and victory.
Following this, delegations and representatives from the twelve regions and administrative divisions of the Kingdom advanced to renew their pledge of allegiance and loyalty to His Majesty, including representatives from:
- Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (Oued Eddahab and Oussard)
- Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (Laâyoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Smara)
- Guelmim-Oued Noun (Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni)
- Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (Tangier-Asilah, M’diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Ouezzane)
- Oriental Region (Oujda-Angad, Nador, Driouch, Jerada, Berkane, Taourirt, Guercif, Figuig)
- Fès-Meknès (Fès, Meknès, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Boulemane, Taounate, Taza)
- Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Temara, Kénitra, Khémisset, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane)
- Béni Mellal-Khénifra (Béni Mellal, Azilal, Fquih Ben Salah, Khénifra, Khouribga)
- Casablanca-Settat (Casablanca and its districts, Mohammedia, El Jadida, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Benslimane, Berrechid, Settat, Sidi Bennour)
- Marrakech-Safi (Marrakech, Chichaoua, Al Haouz, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Essaouira, Rehamna, Safi, Youssoufia)
- Drâa-Tafilalet (Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Tinghir, Zagora)
- Souss-Massa (Agadir Ida Outanane, Inezgane Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha, Taroudant, Tiznit, Tata)
The ceremony concluded with the firing of five artillery rounds in a solemn and festive scene. His Majesty, the Commander of the Faithful, responded graciously to the salutations and cheers from the representatives of the various regions and provinces, symbolizing the unity and steadfast bond between the Throne and the Moroccan people.
This splendid ceremony crowned the nationwide celebrations marking the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s enthronement to the glorious Alaouite Throne. It served as an occasion for the twelve regional representatives to reaffirm their steadfast loyalty to His Majesty and the Throne, emphasizing the deeply rooted historical connection that forms the firm foundation of the Moroccan nation and its enduring cohesion.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of Government, the Presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament, His Majesty’s advisors, members of the government, heads of constitutional institutions, senior officers of the High Command of the Royal Armed Forces, and numerous prominent civilian and military figures.
