Berkane – As part of the second day program of the Moroccan Diaspora Festival held in Berkane in 2025, participants and festival guests made a field visit to the city of Saidia, where they took part in the activities of the 10th Regional Exhibition of Local Products, held from July 25 to 31 under the theme:
“Local Products, Heritage in the Service of Sustainable and Inclusive Development.”
This exhibition serves as an important platform to valorize local products and support the role of cooperatives in strengthening the social and solidarity economy, fully aligned with the Green Generation strategy aiming for sustainable and inclusive development.
The visit offered a vital opportunity to discover the richness of the Oriental region in terms of agricultural diversity and innovation in valorizing local heritage, as well as to reinforce the ties between Moroccans abroad and the local economic fabric, thus enhancing the vital role of the diaspora in the region’s economic and social development.
Many participants expressed their satisfaction with the organization and keen attendance at the exhibition, affirming that such events contribute to reviving local heritage and supporting territorial economy by linking the Moroccan diaspora with their homeland.
