The Arab Parliament held a session today, Saturday, in Cairo, during which it affirmed the pivotal role and ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in defending the Palestinian cause and preserving the identity and legal status of Jerusalem.

In a resolution issued following the fifth general session of the first legislative term of the fourth parliamentary chapter, the parliament emphasized the importance of the Al-Quds Charity Fund (Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif), affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee, which undertakes significant efforts to support the steadfastness of Jerusalem’s residents amid mounting challenges.

The Arab Parliament stressed that achieving security and stability in the Middle East and the world can only be realized through a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, guaranteeing the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to freedom, independence, and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The parliament also affirmed its commitment to continue rallying international parliamentary support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, through active engagement at regional and international parliamentary levels, United Nations organizations, as well as international justice mechanisms such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

Furthermore, the Arab Parliament called on all international and UN parties to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities to achieve security, peace, and stability in the Middle East, emphasizing that this will only be possible through resolving the Palestinian issue based on international legitimacy resolutions and achieving justice and freedom for the Palestinian people.
