Spanish Journalist Unmasks the Truth About Tindouf Camps, Faces Death Threats

Dakhla – At a recent international forum held in the city of Dakhla, Spanish journalist Djidi Patricia made a groundbreaking revelation following the release of her bold documentary titled “From Tindouf to Laayoune… The Path of Dignity,” which exposed the harsh realities in the Tindouf camps.

The journalist testified that during her visit, she was closely monitored by an Algerian officer and was denied the freedom to meet the camp residents, revealing that liberty there is merely a hollow slogan.

Patricia presented compelling evidence of the looting of European and Spanish aid intended for the camp inhabitants by separatist mafia groups. She personally witnessed the repression faced by the local population, contrasting sharply with the extravagant lifestyle led by the leadership of the Polisario Front.

She also denounced the repeated false accusations blaming Morocco for human rights violations in the region, affirming that the reality on the ground is entirely different.

The greatest surprise came when she arrived in the Moroccan city of Laayoune, where she found a vibrant city boasting modern infrastructure, advanced social and commercial facilities, genuine coexistence among Sahrawis, and elected Sahrawi representatives proud of their Moroccan identity, firmly rejecting the myths of occupation.

Djidi Patricia revealed that she has received death threats from paid lobbyists attempting to silence the voice of truth, but she emphasized that such intimidation will not deter her from continuing to expose the facts.

In conclusion, the journalist stated, “When the truth is painful, its opponents resort to threats… but the voice of truth cannot be silenced.”
