On Monday, June 23, 2025, the General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party issued a strong statement regarding the attack carried out by Iranian military forces on Al Udeid Air Base in sister state Qatar.
The party affirmed its full solidarity with the Qatari people and strongly condemned this blatant aggression that violates the sovereignty and security of the State of Qatar. The statement emphasized that Iran’s response to the attacks it faces on its own sovereignty and territory cannot justify, under any circumstances or pretext, violating the sovereignty of an Arab state that has no involvement in the Zionist-American military aggression, which the party firmly rejects and condemns.
The party further stressed that the current circumstances require urgent and robust action by Arab and Islamic countries, utilizing all political and diplomatic mechanisms to swiftly halt these dangerous developments. The statement called for international pressure to stop the ongoing aggression against Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from continuous genocide, siege, starvation, and injustice by the Israeli occupation. This occupation is considered the root cause of the region’s instability and the severe, unending military escalation threatening global security and peace.
The statement reflects the Justice and Development Party’s steadfast position in supporting the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations, defending the sovereignty of Arab states, and upholding the right of peoples to security and peace.
