The Moroccan ambition is not limited to merely complying with international standards but aims to position Morocco as a key player in the green, low-carbon economy. He added that this royal approach seeks to strengthen industrial sovereignty, reduce energy dependency, increase added value, and attract investments and talents, all while ensuring sustainable environmental preservation.

On her part, Badia Bitar, representative of the Marrakech-Safi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, confirmed that this initiative aligns with Morocco’s and the Marrakech-Safi region’s priorities. It is consistent with the national commitments launched by His Majesty the King to face the challenges of climate change through the National Sustainable Development Strategy.

The caravan of regional meetings, organized by the Moroccan Exporters Confederation in partnership with the French company “Engie” and various economic actors and public institutions, served as a vital platform for discussing the most suitable energy sources and innovation opportunities in the energy transition.
