The teams of the Ertiqaa Association for Community Development in Gaza completed on Wednesday the distribution of 500 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in several areas of the Gaza Strip. This initiative was launched by Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif, an agency under the Al-Qods Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI.
A Multi-Phase Distribution Operation
The operation, carried out in several phases, benefited displaced families in Al-Mawasi (Khan Younis), the central governorate, refugee camps in the central area, and Gaza City. The initiative was supported by the Moroccan Association for Support of Reconstruction in Palestine, with contributions from the Morocco-Palestine Solidarity Association.
Morocco’s Ongoing Commitment to Gaza
This humanitarian action is part of Morocco’s continuous official and popular support for the Palestinian cause, especially amid the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza following the Israeli aggression in October 2023.

Prosthetics for Amputee Children
In May, Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif disbursed the first installment of a budget for a project to provide prosthetic limbs to 23 amputee children in Gaza. This was done in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development in Ramallah and supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family.
Material Support and Scholarships for Gaza Students
The agency also continues its efforts in education by equipping Al-Azhar University in Gaza with cloud servers and a distance learning platform to address challenges in accessing education during wartime.
It has also funded registration scholarships for students at the King Hassan II Faculty of Agronomic Sciences, affiliated with the university, and enabled eight students to pursue their studies in Rabat at the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV).
A Solidarity Diplomacy and Tangible Action
These multiple interventions confirm Morocco’s active role as a credible and supportive humanitarian actor, combining a state diplomacy committed to peace with targeted field actions addressing the real needs of the Palestinian population. Under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, the Al-Qods Committee’s approach integrates emergency aid, development support, and educational cooperation.
