It has been reported that the large sports complex in Fes has recently undergone significant security enhancements, including the installation of an advanced surveillance system featuring over 500 cameras distributed throughout its various facilities and surrounding areas.
According to initial available information, the central monitoring room has been equipped with a state-of-the-art digital wall, allowing for live, high-definition monitoring of all angles of the stadium, including the stands, corridors, internal facilities, crowd entrances, parking lots, as well as the external perimeter of the stadium. This setup enables quick intervention in case of any emergencies.
This measure is part of the comprehensive upgrades the Fes Sports Complex is undergoing in preparation to host a number of national and international sporting events, most notably the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
According to reliable local sources, these measures aim to strengthen security and safety standards, while enhancing the readiness of the sports infrastructure to meet international standards for hosting major events.
