General Directorate of National Security Announces New Appointments to Strengthen Security Leadership in Several Moroccan Cities

As part of its ongoing strategy to open leadership positions to young talents and promote rotation in responsibility roles, the General Directorate of National Security announced on Sunday, June 8, a new list of appointments in key positions within decentralized security services across several Moroccan cities, including Rabat, Casablanca, El Jadida, Errachidia, Sefrou, Agadir, Youssoufia, Taza, Mohammedia, and Dakhla.

The new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdelatif Hammouchi, include 14 new leadership positions in public security, general intelligence, and administrative management. Among these appointments are the head of the Security District of Al-Mouhit in the Rabat Security Directorate, deputies for the heads of Ain Sebaa Al-Mohammedia, Hay Hassani, and Bernoussi Zenata security districts in Casablanca, as well as the appointment of the head of the Regional Police Commissariat in Bir Jdid.

Within public security services, the appointments also involved placing senior officers in charge of decentralized traffic and road safety services in the cities of Dakhla, Sefrou, Mohammedia, and the Mediouna area in Casablanca, alongside the appointment of heads of two police districts in the Agadir Port Security Zone and the regional security service in Dakhla.

Additionally, the appointments included the head of the Regional General Intelligence Unit in the Errachidia Regional Security Directorate, the head of the Regional Administrative Service in Taza, and the head of the Administrative Branch in the Youssoufia Security District near Meknes.

These appointments come within a continuous and intensive work dynamic aimed at enhancing the efficiency and productivity of police human resources by facilitating rotation in leadership roles and entrusting field management responsibilities to highly trained and qualified security professionals capable of implementing action plans to strengthen citizen security and ensure the safety of their property.
