Prison Administration Allows Visits During Eid al-Adha Without Permitting Provision Baskets

The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration announced that Eid al-Adha celebrations will be held within prison facilities this year, in accordance with the High Royal Directives that prohibit the ritual slaughtering of Eid sacrifices inside prisons.

The delegation confirmed in an official statement that inmates will benefit from a special dietary program during the Eid al-Adha period, aiming to provide a suitable festive atmosphere within the correctional institutions.

Furthermore, the delegation stated that visits will be allowed for inmates’ relatives and families, as well as diplomatic and consular representatives for foreign inmates, starting from the Monday following Eid al-Adha. It was clarified that bringing provision baskets or any external food items during these visits will not be permitted, to ensure orderly organization and smooth conduct of the visits.

These measures reflect the delegation’s commitment to implementing the royal directives, ensuring appropriate festive conditions for inmates, while maintaining order within prison facilities during the holiday period.
