His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to His Excellency Dr. Sidi Ould Tah on his election as the new President of the African Development Bank Group.
In this message, His Majesty expressed his warmest congratulations and sincere wishes for success in fulfilling his high responsibilities. The King praised Dr. Ould Tah’s extensive experience and professional acumen, which he demonstrated throughout his economic and financial career both in Mauritania and at the helm of various multilateral banking institutions.
The message stated: “Your election to this prestigious position reflects the appreciation of the Bank’s Board of Governors for your high competence and rich expertise. We are confident that, thanks to these qualifications, you will give a strong impetus to the work of the African Development Bank Group and enhance its position and leading role in supporting sustainable and inclusive development efforts across our continent.”
His Majesty added: “In this regard, I would like to assure you that the Kingdom of Morocco will spare no effort in supporting you to achieve the noble goals you seek and to back all strategic initiatives you adopt to assist member countries, both regionally and internationally, in financing their structural projects and achieving development and economic integration objectives.”
