Government Announces Closure of Public Administrations and Local Authorities on Monday, June 9th in Observance of Eid al-Adha

The Moroccan Government Presidency announced in a statement on Friday that, as an exceptional measure, state administrations and local authorities will be closed on Monday, June 9, 2025, in observance of Eid al-Adha.

According to the statement, this decision comes as Eid al-Adha is expected to fall on Saturday, June 7, 2025, corresponding to the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH. The measure aims to allow public sector employees and workers to fully enjoy this important religious occasion, which is one of the most significant holidays in Morocco and across the Islamic world.

This decision falls within the framework of Decree No. 2.05.916, issued on 13 Jumada al-Thani 1426 AH (July 20, 2005), which outlines official holidays in the Kingdom. The decree has been amended and supplemented to accommodate exceptional needs related to holiday dates.
