Casablanca, Morocco – Wydad Athletic Club suffered a 1-0 defeat to Spanish side Sevilla FC in a friendly match held on Tuesday evening at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca. This match is part of the Moroccan club’s preparations for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place next June in the United States.
The lone goal of the encounter was scored by Peque in the 50th minute, following an error by Wydad’s goalkeeper, Mehdi Benabid.
Wydad is set to play another friendly match this coming Saturday against Portuguese club FC Porto. The kick-off for this friendly fixture is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
