Civil society activists in the Boulemane region have called for the establishment of an industrial zone to stimulate investment and achieve sustainable development in the area. They pointed out that such a zone would be a crucial step in boosting the local economy, especially with the availability of vast lands owned by collective communities, which presents a significant opportunity for setting up strategic investment projects.
According to preliminary data, the Boulemane region suffers from a severe lack of economic opportunities, which negatively impacts unemployment rates, particularly among the youth. Local activists stress that the creation of an industrial zone will be an effective solution by attracting companies and factories that will generate numerous job opportunities and contribute to the development of the region.
Job Creation and Improving Living Standards
In this context, one local activist emphasized that the creation of an industrial zone would provide young people with stable employment opportunities, reducing migration rates to larger cities in search of jobs. Additionally, these projects would support local families and improve the standard of living for residents by increasing individual incomes and developing related economic activities.
