King Mohammed VI Issues Daily Order to the Royal Armed Forces on the 69th Anniversary of its Founding

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, issued today, Wednesday, a daily order to the Royal Armed Forces on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of its founding.

The royal order praised all members of the Royal Armed Forces, including officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, both men and women, for their immense sacrifices in defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The King emphasized the constant pride in their readiness and continuous preparedness to serve the nation and its citizens.

At the beginning of the daily order, His Majesty recalled the national spirit of the early founders of the Royal Armed Forces, notably the late King Mohammed V, may God rest his soul, who laid the first foundations of this national institution, and the late King Hassan II, who worked on strengthening its foundations, developing its equipment, and qualifying its human resources.

His Majesty also expressed deep appreciation for all members of the Royal Armed Forces and other security services, including the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Police, and Auxiliary Forces, who work tirelessly to protect the Kingdom’s borders and preserve its security and stability, especially the units stationed in the southern provinces.

On the humanitarian front, the King praised the important role played by the Royal Armed Forces in responding to natural disasters through rescue and relief operations and providing medical services. He emphasized the effectiveness of their field interventions, which are carried out with careful planning and efficient execution.

Furthermore, His Majesty highlighted the importance of the military service program as a national initiative that provides young people of both genders with the opportunity to fulfill their national duty and acquire skills and values that prepare them to enter the labor market and contribute to the country’s development.

On the international front, the daily order referred to the continued participation of the Royal Armed Forces in peacekeeping operations under the United Nations flag, particularly through Moroccan contingents deployed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic, as well as contributing medical and technical expertise within UN missions. This enhances Morocco’s reputation as a reliable partner in international forums.

In light of regional and international security challenges, His Majesty called for the continued development of the military training and education system, as well as active engagement in the localization of defense industries in Morocco, by encouraging both local and international investment in this vital field.

In conclusion, King Mohammed VI reaffirmed the importance of preserving the achievements made and continuing to mobilize efforts to modernize the Royal Armed Forces and enhance its human, logistical, and social capacities. He called on all members of the forces to uphold the values of loyalty and allegiance to the glorious Alawite Throne, and to dedicate themselves to the Kingdom’s eternal motto: “God, Nation, King.”
