Rabat: Upon the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces,1 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan presided over a luncheon today, Wednesday, at the Officers’ Club in Rabat. The luncheon was hosted by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Armed Forces.
A statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces indicated that upon the arrival of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan at the Officers’ Club, he was greeted by Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, Commander of the Southern Zone, before reviewing a detachment from the General Headquarters Regiment that rendered the military salute.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration, the Lieutenant General Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the2 Brigadier General Head of the Third Bureau of the Royal Armed Forces, the Air Division General Inspector of the Royal Air Forces, the Rear Admiral Inspector of the Royal Navy, and the Brigadier General Commander of the Rabat-Salé Military Garrison, all greeted His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan.
The luncheon was attended by the Head of Government, the Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, several advisors to His Majesty the King, the First President of the Supreme Court, the President Delegate of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, the Prosecutor General at the Supreme Court, the Head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, members of the Government, heads of constitutional bodies, members of the Royal Cabinet, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, foreign military attachés accredited in Rabat, as well as numerous civil and military figures.
The 69th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Armed Forces was commemorated in various military garrisons, barracks, and units of the Royal Armed Forces through the organization of ceremonies marked, in particular, by the flag raising ceremony, the reading of the daily order addressed by His Majesty the King to the members of the Royal Armed Forces, the presentation of decorations, as well as military parades.
