The Administrative Court in Fez ruled last Thursday that the municipality of Taza must pay a financial compensation of 43,000 dirhams to two individuals who were attacked by stray dogs in the city.
This ruling comes as compensation for the harm suffered by the victims, after the court established the municipality’s liability for failing to take the necessary preventive measures to round up stray dogs and combat rabies, as required by existing laws.
The court based its decision on the municipality’s neglect of its administrative duties in this regard, which was deemed a direct cause of the incident.
