New Thermal Spa in Boulemane Set to Revive Tourism After Over 1.7 Billion MAD Investment

Local sources from the village of Rmeila, located in the Boulemane Province, have reported the completion of renovation works on the “Hammam Moulay Yacoub Ben Sehl,” a new thermal and tourist spa located near Otaat al-Hajj. The facility is expected to officially open once remaining administrative and procedural steps are finalized.

According to these sources, the spa’s facilities were handed over to the local municipality after the completion of the rehabilitation project, which was carried out as part of a large-scale partnership between the Rmeila municipal council, the Fes-Meknes region, the Boulemane Provincial Council, and the provincial government. The project, covering an area of 4 hectares, had a total budget of over 1.7 billion MAD.

Additionally, it was revealed that the Rmeila municipal council is set to hold an official session on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, where two key topics related to the spa will be discussed: the establishment of a public facility dedicated to it and the selection of the most suitable management model to ensure its effective operation.

The opening of this new spa is expected to significantly boost the region’s tourism and healthcare sectors, providing a strong boost to local development through the revitalization of the tourism industry and attracting visitors interested in mineral water therapies.
