Egg Prices Decline in Morocco: What are the Reasons?

Casablanca – Egg prices have experienced a slight decrease in most markets across the Kingdom, reaching approximately 1.20 dirhams per unit, down from around 1.50 dirhams previously.

According to observations by the “Le Siteinfo” website in several markets in Casablanca, the price of an egg now stands at 1.20 dirhams.

In a statement to “Le Siteinfo,” a professional in the sector explained that this slight price decrease is due to several factors, most notably the rise in temperatures.

The same professional also emphasized that “the selling price of eggs in Morocco remains the lowest compared to other countries, including those in the region.”

Professionals in the sector anticipate a further decline in prices in the coming days, due to overproduction and exceeding the current demand volume.
