This anniversary dates back to May 8, 2003, when the royal palace witnessed the birth of Prince Moulay Hassan, the son of King Mohammed VI. He was named “Moulay Hassan” in honor of his late grandfather, King Hassan II, and his great-grandfather, Sultan Moulay Hassan I. The name carries historical and political significance, reflecting the deep-rooted heritage of the Alaouite dynasty.

Celebrating the birth of the Crown Prince is an occasion for Moroccans to renew their allegiance and loyalty to the glorious Alaouite throne and to remember the role of the monarchy in ensuring the unity and stability of the country. This event also serves as a reminder of the collective engagement in the path of development led by King Mohammed VI.

In recent years, Moroccans have closely followed the educational and training journey of Prince Moulay Hassan, who has participated in several official and international activities alongside his father, King Mohammed VI, reflecting continuous preparation for his future duties in line with institutional continuity.
