Rabat: The Ministry of Interior has announced the suspension of a “Khalifa of a Caid” (assistant to a local administrator) in the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi prefectural district, following the opening of a judicial investigation into suspicions of his involvement in a corruption-related crime.
In a statement released today, the Ministry clarified that this suspension is part of its daily monitoring of the performance of local authority officials and its commitment to their continuous adherence to the ethics of public service.
The statement confirmed that a judicial inquiry has been launched into the matter under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor. It further stated that appropriate administrative measures will be taken against the official concerned, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, and based on the findings of the investigations and the ongoing judicial procedure.
