Casablanca: A powerful explosion caused by a gas cylinder rocked the Errahma residential area on the outskirts of Casablanca this Monday morning, May 5th, resulting in substantial material damage.
The explosion occurred inside a dairy product shop, triggering a spectacular fire that quickly consumed most of the shop’s contents and spread to the first floor of the residential building above it.
According to available information, no injuries or loss of life were reported, while the material damage caused by the explosion and fire is considerable.
Civil Protection units intervened promptly upon receiving the alert, rushing to the scene and successfully controlling the blaze, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the building.
Following this incident, judicial police services have launched a thorough investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to determine the exact circumstances and causes that led to this violent fire.
