Police officers from the judicial police division in Agadir seized more than four tons of hashish and arrested a 66-year-old man suspected of being involved in a criminal network engaged in international drug trafficking. The operation took place on the evening of Friday, May 2nd.
This security operation, carried out in close coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), was conducted at a farm located in the rural area of Oulad Krom, near Oulad Teima. Authorities seized 105 packages of hashish weighing a total of 4 tons and 328 kilograms, which were found in a utility vehicle. A rubber dinghy and a passenger car were also confiscated.
The suspect has been placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, as part of the ongoing investigation aimed at uncovering the full circumstances of the case and identifying other potential individuals involved.
This operation is part of the continuous efforts by the national police and the DGST to combat international drug trafficking networks and the circulation of psychotropic substances.
