Scandal of Rotten Meat in Ben Debbab… Authorities Raid Butcher Shop and Seize Large Quantities of Spoiled Products Before Reaching the Stomachs of Fès Residents! (+Video)

Local authorities in the city of Fès carried out a raid on a meat shop in the Ben Debbab neighborhood on Tuesday, as part of a campaign to monitor the quality of food products offered for consumption.

The operation, conducted in the presence of local officials, their aides, and veterinary services from the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA), led to the seizure of approximately 95.5 kilograms of sausages and frozen chicken meat. The products were found stored in unsanitary conditions, and their source remained unidentified.

Karim Ben Aouda, a representative of the veterinary service in Fès, confirmed that the seized quantities would be destroyed at the city’s public slaughterhouses in accordance with standard procedures, using the special “criz” chemical product designated for such disposal operations.

This raid comes as part of the ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat fraud and protect consumer health, especially with the approach of summer and the rising demand for food products.
