A security alert was raised in the “Inzal” area, within the jurisdiction of the Ouarzazate provincial district, on Monday morning, following the discovery of human remains suspected to be of human origin under mysterious circumstances.
According to information from reliable local sources, a woman from the village stumbled upon the bones while passing through the area and quickly notified the local authorities, who immediately dispatched personnel to the site along with members of the Royal Gendarmerie.
The same sources reported that the security forces cordoned off the location where the remains were found, under the direct supervision of the public prosecutor, who ordered the initiation of an in-depth investigation into the matter. This includes awaiting the results of scientific and medical analyses that could reveal the nature of the bones, the identity of their owner, and the circumstances and date of the potential death.
Specialized technical teams continue their search and combing operations around the area, in addition to interviewing the woman who reported the incident and other local residents as part of the investigation to gather any information that might help or link the case to any previous criminal record.
This incident is considered rare in the region, raising many questions among the local population regarding its background, as they await the results of the forensic and anthropological analyses, which are expected to shed light on the mystery of these human remains.
