Renaissance Berkane of Morocco has achieved a historic feat by qualifying for the final of the CAF Confederation Cup, after overcoming Algeria’s CS Constantine in the semi-final stage of the competition.
The Moroccan team had secured a four-goal victory in the first leg on their home ground in Berkane, before a goalless draw in the return leg, which took place at the Shahid Hamlawi Stadium in Constantine on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Renaissance Berkane will face Tanzania’s Simba SC in the final, who also succeeded in eliminating Stellenbosch of South Africa, benefiting from their first-leg victory.

On this occasion, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, extended his sincere congratulations to Renaissance Berkane, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Executive Board, praising this achievement, which adds to the record of Moroccan football in continental competitions.
It is worth noting that this qualification enhances the chances of the Berkane team in the competition for the continental title, and confirms the strong presence of Moroccan football on the African scene.
