The city of Sefrou hosted the 17th edition of the Regional Forum for Academic and Career Guidance last Wednesday, benefiting over 5,000 final-year high school students under the theme: “Don’t let your ambition remain a dream… Make it a reality.”
Organized by the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in Sefrou, in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Educational Guidance and Planning Professionals, the event witnessed wide participation from more than 44 institutions of higher education, including universities, institutes, and elite schools, as well as vocational training centers.
The forum featured various booths offering informative presentations about available academic and vocational programs. It also included interactive sessions with educational guidance professionals and experts from diverse fields, focusing on emerging careers and promising educational pathways.
Leila Ahamout, the Provincial Director of National Education in Sefrou, stated to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP) that this forum serves as a strategic opportunity to provide accurate information to students, helping them make informed academic and career decisions. She added that the event received strong engagement from secondary school students, who expressed keen interest in the various training opportunities presented.
Many students praised the forum’s significant role in guiding them toward choices that align with their abilities and future aspirations, noting that it helped them gain a clearer vision of their academic and professional possibilities after obtaining the baccalaureate.
This forum is part of the implementation of the Framework Law on Education and Training, and contributes to the 2022–2026 roadmap, specifically the fourth commitment, which focuses on guiding learners toward pathways that match their talents and abilities.
