In a swift operation coordinated by the Casablanca National Police and the local judicial police in Abi J’ad, two young men, aged 18 and 21, were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, April 16th. They are suspected of possessing knives and sharing digital content that jeopardizes the safety of citizens and public property.
The incident unfolded after troubling images surfaced on social media, showing the suspects brandishing knives in front of a police station in the Al-Naseem neighborhood of Casablanca. The alarming photos prompted an immediate response from the police, who launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
Field and technical investigations led to the identification and arrest of the suspects on the outskirts of Abi J’ad. They were subsequently transferred to the judicial police in Casablanca for questioning under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office.
