The Ain Chkef Commune, located in the Moulay Yacoub province, issued a clarification statement on Monday following the circulation of posts on social media regarding structural defects in an ongoing road construction project linking Douar Oulad Maala to the Janane subdivision.
The statement, signed by the President of the Municipal Council, clarified that the road section, part of contract No. 05/2023, has not yet been officially handed over. Consequently, the contracting company remains fully responsible for addressing any visible defects or damages that may emerge during or after the completion of the works, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
The commune emphasized that the observed issues may be the result of recent heavy rainfall and assured residents that it will follow up with the contractor to resolve these shortcomings promptly. The aim is to maintain infrastructure quality and ensure road safety for all users.
This clarification reflects the commune’s commitment to transparency and continuous communication with citizens, in line with good governance principles and the public’s right to information.
