Fez Hosts the First Regional Forum on Wellness Tourism under the Theme: “Thermal Waters in the Fez-Meknes Region: Health and Tourism”

As part of the national drive to support the tourism sector and in line with the 2024–2026 strategic roadmap for tourism, the Fez-Meknes Regional Council is organizing the first Regional Forum on Wellness Tourism. The event will take place from April 10 to 12, 2025, at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, in partnership with the Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes Region, Moulay Yacoub Provincial Authority, the Euro-Mediterranean University, and the Regional Tourism Council.

This forum comes within a participatory approach aimed at enhancing health and wellness tourism as a promising development pillar in the region.

📅 Forum Agenda:

🗓 Thursday, April 10, 2025:

  • 4:00 PM: Official start of the forum at the Euro-Mediterranean University venue.
  • 4:30 PM: Opening ceremony, including a recitation from the Holy Quran and the Moroccan national anthem.
  • Welcome speeches:
    • President of the Fez-Meknes Regional Council
    • Governor of the Fez-Meknes Region
  • Opening remarks by partners:
    • President of the Euro-Mediterranean University
    • President of the Regional Tourism Council
    • Vice President of the Regional Council in charge of tourism development
  • Screening of an institutional film on the thermal waters of the region.
  • 5:00 PM: Visit to the exhibition area.
  • 5:30 PM: Tea reception in honor of the guests.

🗓 Friday, April 11, 2025:

  • From 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM: A series of scientific conferences will be held, highlighting the region’s investment potential, natural assets, the therapeutic value of thermal waters, and the legal and regulatory framework of wellness tourism.

🗓 Saturday, April 12, 2025:

  • 10:30 AM: A field visit to an investment project in the field of thermal waters, aiming to showcase successful experiences and promising models in this sector.
