Civic organizations in the Moulay Yacoub region have urged the relevant authorities to send a central committee to inspect and assess the pollution conditions affecting their area. Citizens indicate that the situation is worsening due to the “dense polluted dust” emanating from a certain industrial plant, which has become a serious threat to the health of the residents and the quality of their lives.
According to preliminary data from local sources, the situation is heightening the fears of the residents, who are facing an imminent health risk, particularly regarding respiratory illnesses.
The blame is directed towards an industrial plant in the area, where residents have previously organized protests calling for improvements in the environmental conditions. However, while residents acknowledge the positive impact of the company’s investment on the local economy, they emphasize the need for these development projects to adhere to environmental preservation standards and not become a threat to public health.
In this context, the affected individuals are demanding the enforcement of strict environmental standards, ensuring that economic projects align with the requirements to protect human health and shield it from environmental hazards.
