The El Hajeb region achieves a significant leap in empowering women and community development through 581 pioneering projects.

Between 2019 and 2024, the El Hajeb region witnessed the implementation of 581 projects and 29 operations under the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), with a total cost of 192.81 million dirhams, of which the initiative contributed 185.66 million dirhams. These projects helped boost local dynamics by supporting associations, cooperatives, and very small businesses, encouraging training and qualification, and supporting income-generating activities, which are effective tools in promoting the social inclusion of women.

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, the Social Action Department of the El Hajeb Province announced the programming of 88 projects within the “Compensating the Deficit in Infrastructure and Basic Services” program for the most needy areas. This included 42 projects in the drinking water sector benefiting 3,295 families, 8 projects in the health sector, and 24 projects in the education sector.

Additionally, 757 vulnerable women were targeted through the establishment of educational and training centers aimed at supporting the professional integration of women through vocational training. Through the “Income Improvement and Economic Integration of Youth” program, 7,376 beneficiaries were received and directed, including 1,655 women, with support and training provided to 595 youth, including 207 women.

Regarding entrepreneurship, 230 projects were approved, including 72 small businesses run by women, representing 31%, in addition to 19 businesses in rural areas. Also, 21 projects were allocated under the social economy support pillar, including 7 women’s cooperatives, accounting for 33%.

In line with 2025 activities, 1,045 youth, including 486 females (47%), were welcomed, and 11 projects were approved, including 10 small businesses managed by women.

In the field of maternal and child health support, 16,195 beneficiaries were targeted through various projects including maternity wards, birth centers, and health centers. Additionally, 2,568 girls benefited from school transport services under the “One Million Schoolbags” program, targeting 88,915 female students out of a total of 200,064 students.

As part of the 2025 International Women’s Day celebrations, the El Hajeb Province launched a series of awareness projects, activities, and training courses to support and economically empower women, as well as stimulate local initiatives targeting this group.

Under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco continues to implement various development programs aimed at achieving sustainable development and establishing the principles of fairness and gender equality. The National Initiative for Human Development is an essential part of these efforts, focusing on the most vulnerable groups and remote areas, while promoting values of solidarity and good governance.
