Drinking Water Outages in Taza Neighborhoods Spark Public Outrage Amid Official Silence

Several neighborhoods in Taza, including Jnan Ben Haddouch and Lotissement Sadiki, have been experiencing daily drinking water outages for nearly a year. The issue has persisted into Ramadan, with water being cut off from 10:00 PM until the following morning.

Despite the ongoing situation, no official statement has been issued by the relevant authorities to explain the reasons behind the outages or to specify how long they will last. This lack of communication has fueled widespread frustration among residents.

Many citizens have expressed their discontent over the authorities’ silence, especially given the disruptive impact of these water cuts on daily life, particularly during Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) in Ramadan.

Affected residents are demanding urgent clarifications from the responsible authorities and sustainable solutions to ensure a stable supply of drinking water, preventing further hardship.
