As part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region organized a tribute ceremony on Friday, March 14, 2024, to honor female employees in the sector. The event recognized their dedication to improving the healthcare system and serving citizens.
The ceremony, held in the directorate’s conference hall, was presided over by Dr. Salima Saasaa, the Regional Director of Health and Social Protection, in the presence of several officials and staff members. The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. In her opening speech, Dr. Saasaa expressed her pride in the pivotal role women play in the healthcare sector, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare services despite the challenges they face.
Dr. Saasaa praised the dedication of female healthcare professionals, who work alongside their male colleagues to achieve the ministry’s strategic goals. She highlighted their significant efforts in combating measles, like their counterparts in other regions, in an effort to safeguard public health. She also stressed the importance of continued dedication and further efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services.
The event featured speeches from department heads and officials who expressed their appreciation for the contributions of female employees and commended their ongoing efforts across various healthcare sectors.
The ceremony concluded with the reading of a message of loyalty and gratitude addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in recognition of his support for the healthcare sector. Symbolic gifts were distributed, and commemorative photos were taken to mark this special occasion, reflecting appreciation and respect for the role of women in serving society.
