Fes-Meknes Region Marks Digital Transformation with 5 Million Dirham Investment to Enhance Administrative Services

In a significant move towards improving administrative performance and achieving a qualitative leap in its services, the Fes-Meknes Regional Council has announced the launch of its digital transformation project with a budget of 5 million dirhams. This ambitious initiative is part of the council’s broader strategy for comprehensive digitalization, aiming to enhance the quality of services offered to citizens and facilitate easier and more flexible access to them.

The project was approved during the council’s regular session in March 2025, where the council signed a strategic partnership agreement with DXC-CDG, a leading company in the field of information technology and digital services. This agreement involves collaboration between both parties to implement the digital project, which aims to digitize administrative services, streamline various citizen procedures, and improve the organization of work within local councils.

DXC-CDG is a specialized IT company, resulting from a partnership between Morocco’s Deposit and Management Fund (CDG) and DXC Technology, a global leader in digital solutions. This strategic partnership reflects the council’s commitment to developing its digital infrastructure and adopting the latest technologies that contribute to improving the quality of public services.

Digitalization is seen as a crucial step towards enhancing transparency and efficiency in managing local affairs. The President of the Fes-Meknes Regional Council expressed pride in this project, highlighting that it will represent a transformative leap in service delivery to citizens and align with the national digital developments across various sectors. He added that this initiative will improve communication between the administration and citizens, reduce paperwork, and directly contribute to speeding up processes and enhancing public service delivery.

This project is part of the council’s strategy to achieve digital transformation within its local institutions, marking a significant step towards strengthening government performance and offering higher-quality, more accessible services to citizens. Through this initiative, citizens will benefit from innovative digital services that will ease their daily lives and meet their expectations for administrative modernization across various fields.
