The livestock transport vessel “Shorthorn Express” is heading to Morocco from Ireland, carrying 2,000 bulls on board.
According to global maritime traffic tracking websites, the “Shorthorn Express” is approaching Moroccan shores and is expected to dock at the port of Casablanca this Wednesday, carrying 2,000 Irish bulls. The ship departed on February 28 from the Irish port of Greenore, a central hub for livestock exports to Africa and the Middle East.
This cattle shipment is part of the expanding trade between Ireland and Morocco. The arrival of these animals in the Kingdom will contribute to supplying local markets and meeting the needs of breeders as well as slaughterhouses across the country.
Built in 1998, the “Shorthorn Express” is 117 meters long and 16 meters wide. Its architecture was specially designed to meet the requirements of livestock transport, with systems ensuring the welfare of the animals throughout the journey. It is equipped with an advanced ventilation system and automated watering points to guarantee optimal conditions for the cargo.
