Elements of the 17th security district, supported by elements of the third security zone, thwart the trafficking of more than a ton of spoiled meat in the Bandabab neighborhood in Fez

In a landmark security operation carried out by elements of the 17th security district with the support of the 3rd security district in Fez, security authorities managed to arrest four people in the Bendabab neighborhood on Saturday, after raiding shops that revealed the storage of more than 1000 kilograms of spoiled meat, this operation, which came in the context of enhancing food security, was welcomed by the residents of the area.

The operation targeted shops in the Ben Dabab neighborhood, one of the popular neighborhoods of Fez, where security forces found large quantities of spoiled meat stored in freezers and barrels, and preliminary information indicates that this meat was prepared for distribution in local markets, posing a serious threat to the health of citizens, four people were arrested in connection with this case and are currently under investigation to reveal the details of the incident and the possible distribution network.

After the operation, local authorities along with the quality control committee came to the raid site to assess the situation. The spoiled meat was confiscated and the necessary measures were taken to dispose of it in a safe manner, according to health standards.
